december - january & february camps at La French Academy
Saturday Classes
Time: Saturdays, through school terms
Place: La French Academy, Tramore Place Killarney Heights
Price: $250 to $275 inc GST per student per term (5% sibling discount)
La French Academy is a language learning program fun, musical, interactive and effective! We offer 2 bilingual programs on Saturdays:
- For English speaking families:
9.15 to 10am : Babies & Toddlers (0 to 2 yo) $250 inc GST 10-week term
10.15 to 11.am: Preschoolers (3 to 5 yo) $250 inc GST 10-week term
11.15 to 12.15pm: Le French Club (5 to 11 yo) $275 inc GST 10-week term
All classes primarily teach the French language through songs interspersed with basic instructions, ‘everyday language’ and storytelling. We aim to engage multiple senses simultaneously to enhance learning, as such lots of props, visual learning aids, and accompanying actions are used to compliment the spoken language. The idea is also for caregivers to learn along with their child so everyone participates in the class!
- For Bilingual and francophones families: $275 inc GSt 10-week term
12.30 to 1.30pm: Le petit French Club (3 to 5 yo)
Le petit French Club is an immersive class for children from a bilingual home. This class is 1-hour long in French only. Caregivers are welcome to participate or stay around for the class duration. The program is designed to teach children French social vocabulary through songs, games, storytelling and crafts. It is also designed to get them ready for a Kindy start at our neighborhood school Killarney Heights PS as it offers a French - English curriculum.
Le Francophone French Club
Time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 5.30 pm, through school terms
Place: La French Academy, Tramore Place Killarney Heights
Price:
1 day: Full rate: $310 inc GST per 10-week Term
2 days: 7% off: $288 inc GST per 10-week Term per day
3 days: 10% off: $279 inc GST per 10-week Term per day
Le French Club is a tailored program for school-aged children, held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at the Girls Guide Hall. Our program offers a free school pick-up service from KHPS, ensuring a seamless transition into a fun-filled afternoon immersed entirely in French. Each week, children dive into a world of diverse activities and engaging sets exclusively conducted in French.
Designed for children with a solid grasp of French comprehension but limited speaking abilities, our aim is to cultivate their social verbal skills beyond the traditional school curriculum. Through interactive games, enriching vocabulary exercises, and a playful learning environment, our goal is to foster a love for the language while honing their conversational abilities. Join us on this exciting journey of learning French through the joy of play!
L'Anglophone French CLub
Time: Tuesday, 3 to 4 pm through school terms
Place: John Colet Belrose
Price: $230 Inc GST per 10-week term (5% sibling discount)
At Le Anglophone French Club, children embark on an exciting journey of learning a foreign language in a vibrant social environment. Through a diverse range of engaging activities, captivating learning games, and themed crafts that change with each term, children experience a dynamic and fun-filled approach to language acquisition.
Our flexible structure allows children to join the club at any point during the year, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to explore the wonders of the French language. Join us as we make language learning a delightful adventure that sparks creativity and fosters a love for French!
